Position description:

Calico is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join our HR team. In this role, you will partner with our leaders in Research & Development to bring world class talent to Calico. The Recruiter/Senior Recruiter will be responsible for developing strong relationships with our hiring managers, HR partners and candidates to ensure an outstanding client and candidate experience. Successful candidates will design and implement sourcing strategies to ensure Calico has deep candidate pipelines to support our current and future growth. The Recruiter/Senior Recruiter will manage the entire lifecycle of the recruiting process from sourcing to onboarding. This includes management of active candidates in the interview process, presenting offers, offer negotiation, immigration and relocation. Additionally, this role will provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers and senior staff, including hiring and employment trends. and competitive intelligence and research on the Biopharma industry and the Bay Area.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 5-10 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience in Biotech/Pharma industry, preferably in Discovery Research or Pre-Clinical/Translational research
  • Strong proficiency in full lifecycle recruiting including sourcing and internet based research
  • Dedication to the highest level of quality in identifying top talent, providing exceptional client service and in building and maintaining an optimal candidate experience
  • Relentless drive to find, connect with and hire the very best talent
  • Experience in managing a diverse candidate pipeline and implementing diversity sourcing techniques
  • Track record of building a good team culture, and supporting team members in doing their best work
